NGS is proud to announce the 2019 ....
The Silver State Art Festival, sponsored by the Nevada Gourd Society, is a collaborative gathering of several of the natural fine artistry entities in and around the state of Nevada. This festival is comprised of gourd art and basketry art as well as other fine art and fine craft media. Vendors in attendance will be displaying and selling artwork and art supplies. In addition, there will be classes for those interested a hands-on learning experience. Our goal is to have a fun and educational festival for all who want to know more about the beautiful world of the natural arts.

Carson City is a perfect location for a festival! Visitors from far and wide visit in September because of our great weather and all the wonderful things to do in this area of Nevada:

- Beautiful Lake Tahoe
- Reno, just minutes away

- Fly fishing on the Truckee or Carson rivers

We will have a raffle with many nice prizes again this year. The "Tree of Life" gourd pictured below is just one of our great raffle prizes. The raffle proceeds will be going to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada.
We are already signing up artists and vendors to participate in this year's festival. A list of attending artists and vendors will be posted soon.

2019 Classes are NOW open for registration!
We'll have 3 fun days of classes from September 13th through the 15th. View our gallery of awesome classes that we have scheduled for this year.
Once again, we are planning a great line-up of gourd and basketry art classes. This is your opportunity to learn something new or to learn new techniques in a hands-on environment. We hope you will take advantage of this great opportunity to make new friends and to create wonderful art.
If you've never taken a gourd or basketry class, this is a great time to take the plunge. Even better, get a friend to take a class with you! Most of our classes are designed to be easy enough for beginners, and fun for all levels of gourders and basket weavers.

We are currently taking booth applications from sellers of gourd, basketry, and wood art and sellers of art supplies. Please fill out the vendor application.

We are no longer taking teaching applications from gourd, basketry, and wood teachers as all of our spaces are full for our 2019 festival.
