Create a dreamcatcher with an eye catching design. The gourd is thick, and we will carve the hard wood away from the opening of the dreamcatcher, giving the opening a suede-like finish. Then we will wood burn and paint the designs before starting the weaving. You will end the class by adding a feather to the center of the dreamcatcher for the bad dreams to slide down and away. If you do not want to wood burn your design, bring a black, fine-tipped sharpie pen to outline your design.
The instructor will provide : A class-ready gourd, alcohol ink, acrylic paints, formula 49, protecting wax and felt, cotton rounds, water dish, micro brush, sinew, beads, needles, feathers, rawhide, gloves and everything else required for the class with the exception of the items listed below for students to bring.
