In this class you will learn how to make a beautiful, western style gourd bowl by coiling a cowboy rope around the top. You will also learn to lace through the gourd without using a needle, and how to line the inside of the gourd with paper making a beautiful finishing touch. If time permits, you will learn how to set a cabochon, provided by the instructor, in the gourd.
Although this class is appropriate for all levels of gourding students, you should already have a basic knowledge of how to use your rotary tool.
The instructor will supply cowboy rope, gourd paper, leather lacing, rubber gloves, liquidox white glue, sanded paint, and practice rope pieces.
Each student is required to bring the following items to class:
