Class description
Learn to use prickly pear cactus skeleton to do an acrylic pour over a simple shaped gourd. We will do our controlled acrylic pour over the gourd onto a canvas. So you will end up with an interesting poured gourd along with a canvas bonus painting. We will cover paint mixing for acrylic pours.
I will provide: Paints, mediums, spill pans, cactus skeleton, glue, rubber bands, tape, cups, straw, and a canvas.
What you are asked to bring
Each student is asked to bring a simple shaped gourd about 5" in diameter and 6" tall cleaned outside with a stem or an eye screw (something to hold on to).
Note: If you cannot obtain a gourd as described, I can prepare a class-ready gourd for you, and you can pay me $10.00 when you arrive to class. You must let me know before August 1st to give me time to prepare your gourd.

Also bring scissors, and something to set the gourd on while gluing (I find a metal chore boy works well).
Class Cancellation Policy

If this class does not meet its minimum number of students by August 30th, the class will be cancelled, you will be contacted, and your registration fee will be refunded.

About the instructor
Art has always been a part of Lynne's life. Her very creative parents made sure that she was exposed to different forms of art from early on. That gave her an open path to explore her creativity. Lynne has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from California College of Arts and Crafts and is the owner of Lynne M East Graphic Design Studio and Blue Raven Art School. In recent years she has been applying her design expertise to gourd art and Baskets. Lynne started working with coyote gourds that were growing wild in her yard by painting them for Christmas ornaments. Having learned many new techniques she now creates pieces unlike any others. Lynne enjoys combining media and often adds metal art to her pieces. www.LMEastDesign.com
