Lighted, Fun Loving Frosty the Snowman. Something special for the upcoming holiday season for you, your grandchildren or that very special friend. Frosty’s all about being fun❄️

 

 

I will supply:

• A class-ready gourd

• Cap and scarf

• Nose

• Pipe

• Paints, brushes, sponges

• Snow Tex

• Single Clip Light for sale -$5

What you are asked to bring

Students need to bring: 

• A small crafting jigsaw

• Pencil

• Dust mask (required when carving)

• Flexible ruler or tape

Class cancellation policy

If you need to cancel this class, you MUST contact us before August 25, 2023 in order to receive a refund. Note that NGS will withhold $10 to cover processing fees. To cancel, call Patti Jo Newsom at 817-917-7873 or email us at nevadagourdsociety@gmail.com.

If this class does not meet its minimum number of students by August 25th, the class will be cancelled, you will be contacted, and your registration fee will be refunded.

About the instructor

​

I first discovered gourds at the Zettle Gourd Farm in Folsom, Ca many years ago. I had taught acrylic painting for over thirty years and that’s the medium I used with my gourd art at that time. The first real class I took was at Knights Landing Gourd Festival where I taught and took classes to stretch my creativity. I now carve, paint, wood burn and keep on discovering more creative ways to use gourds.
