Class description

​

In this fun class, you will create a 12" fall wreath using mini luffa, jewelry gourds, alcohol ink, artificial leaves and hot glue. Students will participate in the selection and preparation of mini luffa and jewelry gourds for the project. If they are interested, students could substitute dried corn husks for the leaves or use them in addition to the leaves to create a beautiful fall wreath.

The instructor will supply everything you need to complete your wreath with the exception of the items listed in the "What you are required to bring" section below.

 

What you are required to bring

• A hot glue gun with 8-10 hot glue sticks

• Optional: Apron

If this class does not meet its minimum number of students by August 30th, the class will be cancelled, you will be contacted, and your registration fee will be refunded.

About the instructor

Stacy Holtz has been creating gourd art for over 30 years and teaching classes for over 20 years. She has displayed her work in many competitions in California and Arizona, and was the California representative at Bonnie Gibson’s Teachers Academy. Her favorite techniques include carving, sculpting, and weaving on gourds.
