Class description

 

You will work knotless netting on a jewelry/spinner gourd and some basic macrame techniques to make a unique beaded necklace with adjustable closure.

Your instructor will provide a pre-finished jewelry gourd, 3 or 4 ply waxed linen, size 8/0 or 6/0 beads, size 18/22 tapestry needle and everything you need to complete the project.

This class is suitable for all levels of weavers.  Whether you are able to completely finish in the class depends upon how complicated you choose to make your necklace.

Class Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel this class, you MUST contact us before August 30, 2026 in order to receive a refund. Note that NGS will withhold $10 per cancelled class to cover processing fees. To cancel, call Patti Jo Newsom @ 817-917-7873 or email nevadagourdsociety@gmail.com.

If a class does not meet the minimum number of students by August 30th, the class will be cancelled, you will be contacted, and your full registration fee will be refunded.

About the Instructor

 

I've been a member of Calabash Club & California Gourd Society for over10 years. During which, I've learned several gourd art techniques, but I have an affinity and enjoy getting creative with Knotless Netting! A technique that I am very grateful to have learned from Kennie Winter!
