Class description
Take home a beautiful gourd bowl createdby you that will make a nice centerpiece. This class will take you through the basics of weaving seagrass on a gourd rim and the use of Trans Tint Alcohol Dyes. You will learn to transform ordinary gourds into vibrant colored art using these alcohol dyes. When the dyes are mixed, blended or washed together they can create a plethora of colors. We will daub, drip, sponge, paint, and blend with alcohol inks. Students will learn to create stunning, dynamic designs on these natural surfaces. BE BOLD! Go with the color!
This class is for all levels of gourders. However, the seagrass rim may take some students longer than others. Most, if not all, will at least have it started with plenty of supplies and a tutorial to take home and finish,
I will supply a prepped and cleaned gourd, jigsaw, Dremel tool with bits, horsehair, sea grass, waxed linen, needles, assorted dyes, pencils, tutorial, sealant, latex gloves and will have extra tools available to share.
